I want to play a canon. Which can I play?

You're more than welcome to take a canon character from any Final Fantasy. We allow characters from Finall Fantasy 1 - 15 as well as games like Final Fantasy Legends or Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Kingdom Hearts characters and other SquareEnix games are not available on this site.

I want to play an OC. Which can I play?

Original Characters are not allowed on this site. Sorry.

I don't know Final Fantasy that well but I'd like to join.

Great! This site was designed so little information is actually needed about the canon you're picking up. You simply need to know their base personality and adapt them to the world and decide how they will live their life. Their previous history in the games they come from is irrelevant on this site.

I want to apply as a 'Set Canon'.

The few characters on the set canon list are available unless stated otherwise. These canons are the only ones with set "histories" on this site and all that information can be found in the Set Canon area. In addition, their ranking and which country they belong to cannot be changed.

What can I change as a Set Canon?

You're allowed to change the age (but it must be within four years of the listed age), birthday, or even the job class listed.

How do I apply?

To apply for any canon, you need to register to the site and fill out the audition. Once the audition is approved, then you can fill out the short application. Once the application is moved to the approved area, you're allowed to post.

Why do I have to do an audition?

We do not require a real history on this site, but we still would like to know that the character you're applying for can be played in a canon manner. It's just easier for us if we see an audition sample opposed to someone filling out a whole application since our applications aren't very detailed.

Can my character remember their past life?

No. All character's memories of their previous lives are wiped clean. There is no reason for characters to follow the same path on this site because they aren't bound by the same hardships.

What does my character do in this life?

Unless you're a set canon, you have the freedom to decide what your character does in this life. Tifa does not have to be a bartender. She can be famous singer if you wish. You can make someone who's adventurer, guild master, baker, soldier, or anything else you desire.

Can I be [insert job] as [insert canon]?

Yes! There is actually no rules stating you have to have the same job class type as the character did in their game. If you want to play Cloud as a gun user, we would allow it so long as he starts off as an archer and gets enough experience to level into a gunner.

My character's usual job class/skills don't exist here!

Not every job class exists in this site, and some canon's usual weapons/skills aren't on the basic or advance classes. We understand that, which is why we allow characters freedom of their weapons/job classes.

What country can I be from?

Any of the three. We aren't restricting anyone to any specific country. Even as a member of that country, you can try to avoid the war and taking sides, but soldiers might not believe you and a ruler can proclaim you're committing treason and have you hunted down/arrested.

Can I travel between countries/continents?

Yes, though travel between some places is a bit harder. Midgar and Archades are at war so they don't send ships from one region to another. Balamb is in the middle with two coastal towns. To travel from Midgar to Archades, you will need to go to four towns essentially. Also remember, since countries are at war, they're not really all that friendly with one another.

What is the unclaimed area?

There is wild areas where all over the world, but there is an area on the continent of the Archades Imperial Region that is called the Unclaimed Area. Generally, there are very wild monsters and inhabitable areas within these land. Anyone is welcome here and can explore. They are dangerous, however, so be careful.

Can I go to the Shrine of Chaos or Cosmos?

Yes. The shrines are open areas within two different countries. Please note, there is no sign saying this is the shrine of Chaos/Cosmos so a character would just find a shrine with a large crystal within it. Chaos and Cosmos are rarely at their temples.

Are there random encounters?

There are random encounters within this site in places that aren't cities. If you are traveling, there is a twenty-five percent chance a monster might invade your thread. In the Unclaimed Areas, the chance of a random encounter is much higher.

Are there airships on this site? Can I have one?

All three countries have some form of air travel, however, they are owned and regulated by their rulers. No regular character can just have an airship. Everyone just has one airship and their are treaties currently stating nobody will use their airship for attacking. They aren't being used for trading of goods; as all trade is done through ships at sea. The technology and piloting of airships is also shaky knowledge, which has the rulers keep the airships grounded unless for an emergency so they don't risk losing such a valuable vessel.

Are there chocobos? Can I have one?

Chocobos exist and anyone is welcomed to have one. All chocobos are yellow and can be owned. Please note, they don't walk on water or go up mountains easily.

Why is [JUMP] not a skill for lancers?

In game mechanics, Jump makes sense! In roleplaying mechanics, Jump doesn't make sense. How awkward would it be for a player to stop posting for five turns as he is charging in the sky especially if there's only two people in a thread. At the same time, we are striving for a bit of realism so we don't want people to have the ability to jump higher than a building.

Can my character have wings?

No. If you canonically have wings, they are now just fashion accessories. If you grew wings for a limit break, well there are no limit breaks on this site so there's no reason to have wings. Chocobos aren't playable characters and most other races aren't winged. If you wish to play a race that does have wings, please consult Staff.

Do I get to keep canon family members?

The fact some characters are related and have the same last name isn't really relevant anymore. Since we're not enforcing ages here but allow freedom, someone who might be father and son might be too close in age for that to be logical. At the same time, nobody has memories. People are allowed to 'adopt' others. If there's a Marlene and Terra takes her in and adopts her as a daughter, we'd allow that. However, Tidus and Jecht could have the same last name but not consider each other family.

Are there memory spheres in the world like in FFX?

No. As Cosmos took the trouble of creating a world with no memories, she would not have brought back all the memory spheres that were destroyed. There can be such spheres created within the life of the world, so from when they were created, but not of their past or memories they have lost. Otherwise everyone would have their memories and the whole premise is lost.
