The Rules
Use Common Sense.
First and foremost, we ask that all members of A Gift From The Goddess use their best judgment at all times. We're all here to have fun and some of us are even looking to improve our writing; however, if there is a problem you cannot easily resolve, please consult Staff rather than take matters into your own hands when/if a problem with another member arises.
Listen To Staff.
Please listen to the Staff, if they ask for certain discussions or actions to cease. This is to maintain a friendly environment and the Staff is not out to take sides to a disagreement. We will look at each issue (if they arise) objectively, and make a decision based on what we see or read. Any issues that occur off site are not the Staff's responsibility until they spill onto the site.
Please No God-Modding, Meta-Gaming, Power-Playing, Etc.
God-modding refers to controlling another member’s character without their permission. Power-playing is defined as treating one’s character as unbeatable. Meta-gaming involves one’s character having knowledge that the character should not have but the player does. This rule is on every site ever in the existence of roleplaying for a good reason; they are rude and generally take away from the roleplay. Don't do any of these. If you are caught, Staff will warn you but if you chose to continue we will ask you to leave.
Follow Proboards TOS.
Everything remains PG-13. No excessive drug use, extreme graphic violence, or sex. If you cannot follow these rules, it's best not to join any Proboards site. Breaking this rule may result in Proboards deleting this forum and nobody wants that.
There Is A Word Count.
We require that all members stick to a strict 300 word count minimum for all in-character posts. Keep in mind we have a calculator that is reads the number of words in IC posts, if the post is smaller than 300, it will simply not allow you to post. If you are like me and type a post in Word, it doesn't automatically read the words that are pasted into the reply box. Never fear, simply click the calculator located at the bottom right of the reply box and hit 'Word' and it will now realize it's there.
This is to ensure that all posts are within requirements without the staff being forced to look over every post. As stated, we stick to a STRICT 300 minimum. Keep in mind that coding is not considered part of the words, and while the calculator will likely count it, we still will keep an eye out. Please do you best to reach the requirements. 300 words is the smallest word count I've enforced and I believe it is within the capabilities of creative writers such as us.
It also doesn't count text in "quote" or "code" which shouldn't be an issue since those things aren't generally used in posts. If they are, just remove them and it will be calculated.

This Is A Canon Only Site.
While histories are being rewritten, we are only accepting canon characters. It can main characters or even lesser characters from any of the games.
Wait To Be Approved For Roleplaying.
This is a simple rule to be followed; you will be notified when your character is accepted on the site, and when that happens, you are now free to role-play with your character. If you don't wait, your character will be declined and the app archived. You will then have to choose a different character all together and go through the audition process once more.
One Account Per Character.
We ask that you register a new account for each character you make. This keeps the site neat and organized, and allows us to sort them into their proper member groups. Display names should be set as the character’s name.
Second Characters.
We allow a total of four characters on the site; however, there is a process to obtain your next characters. Here is the breakdown to get multiple characters.
2nd character: First character has 30 IC posts.
3rd Character: 1st has 60 IC posts, 2nd has 30
4th character: 1st has 90 IC posts, 2nd has 60, 3rd has 30.
This allows us to view that you are not taking on a new character and simply ignoring your previous ones as we desire you all to remain active on all of the characters you take on.

ACTIVITY
At the beginning of each month, the staff will go through and clear out any inactive accounts: these include accounts that have yet to finish an audition/application and have not worked on them for a great deal of time. For any accepted members who have not made a post in over two weeks will be deleted as well unless a reason is given to a staff member.
